Shipping Policy & Guidelines
At Wild Growth Farm & Nursery, we take immense pride in cultivating healthy, resilient carnivorous plants. To ensure your new green companions arrive safely and ready to thrive, please review our official shipping guidelines below
Licensing & Shipping Territory
NC Certified Nursery: We are an official North Carolina Department of Agriculture certified nursery.
Service Area: We ship to all addresses within the Continental United States (lower 48 states). At this time, we do not offer international shipping or delivery to Alaska, Hawaii, or U.S. Territories.
How Your Plants Ship (Bare-Root)
To guarantee plant safety, prevent root shock, and comply with state agricultural regulations, all plants are shipped bare-root.
Roots are carefully cleaned, wrapped in moist, acid-safe packing material to protect hydration during transit, and securely packaged.
Upon arrival, your plants should be potted immediately into a carnivorous-safe, nutrient-free bog media (such as pure peat and perlite) and bottom-watered using distilled, reverse osmosis, or rainwater ONLY.
Live Arrival Guarantee & Damage Claims
We stand by the health of our stock and pack every order with extreme care. However, we recognize that transit delays or rough handling by carriers can occasionally happen.
24-Hour Reporting Window: Any claims regarding shipping damage, dead-on-arrival (DOA) plants, or missing items must be reported within 24 hours of official delivery notification by the carrier.
Photo Documentation Required: To qualify for a replacement or reimbursement, you must submit clear photo documentation showing:
The damaged plant(s) bare-root as unboxed.
The shipping box and exterior condition.
The shipping label showing your tracking details.
How to File: Email your photos, order number, and a brief explanation to our team via our Contact Page or direct nursery email within the 24-hour window. Claims submitted past 24 hours of delivery or without required photos cannot be reimbursed.
Weather & Seasonal Shipping Delays
Carnivorous plants are sensitive to extreme temperature spikes and freezes. During periods of severe summer heat waves or winter deep freezes, we reserve the right to hold shipments until safe weather windows open along your package's transit route. We will notify you via email if your shipment is briefly delayed for plant safety.
